My experiences as a painter and muscian have been inspired by many influences. The obvious ones, like family and faith ... however, much enlightenment has come from many music Icons and film personalities. Their unique gifts have helped to inspire all of us, in one way or another, and have had a profound impact in shaping my vision as a contemporary painter. I also acknowledge the beauty of, and the story, that is characteristic in every individuals face. Great and small alike, these have added to my understanding and have expanded my sensibilites in new and different ways.

Clearly, portraiture is my passion. For instance, while painting the wonderful smile of Louis Armstrong, his captivating spirit causes me to smile and to remember, his great talents. I also enjoy other forms of beauty such as, a colourful landscape, flowers in bright sunsine, even the occasional still life composition or reproduction of a reknown artists' painting. These varying subjects all help me to move forward, as well as, provide a sense of accomplishment with the satisfaction of creating artwork that will be enjoyed by others.
